Apparently ever single individual who was with the Vice President when he shot a 78 year old man while they were "hunting" with WOMEN WHO WERE NOT THEIR WIVES (and were also lobbyists/business associates) was SO INVOLVED with the MEDICAL CARE OF ONE MAN, it took eighteen hours before any of them were able to let the press know what was happening -- plus, they were all too busy to talk to the police.
Has anyone started a collection for the family of the victim yet? I understand they were too poor to afford telephones so they could be contacted quickly in the event of an "emergency" -- the poverty in Texas is just amazing, isn't it? Even the families of Republican Lawyers are too poor to afford telephone service. Sigh.
But, if we think about this logically, Katrina suddenly starts making sense, doesn't it? The Vice President's entourage of what -- fifteen or twenty people minimum? All so involved in taking care of ONE MAN, it was EIGHTEEN HOURS before the rest of the world found out about the tragedy. Multiply those twenty people by the tens of thousands of victims of Hurricane Katrina, and its no wonder we had to watch them die on national television -- just because camera crews could get into the city didn't mean RESCUE PEOPLE could, or SUPPLIES OF FOOD AND WATER.
How many Republicans does it take to get anything done?
Apparently there is no good answer, but you can supply your own joke here.
