a bird that had it's wings clipped? Quayles can't really jump that high when they have their wings clipped and have been raised caged for being bagged hunts, can they?

1. I've just finished watching Jon Stewart's video about Cheney
I watched it 3 times and I still almost wet myself the third time.

"SHOT IN THE FACE" seems to be the key phrase.

3. Three to five feet off the ground. Whittington may have been in a crouch
This came up on another thread, but I'd be hard-pressed to find it. It's sad how much this has caught the national imagination. Cheney has slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent people in the Middle East and let hundreds die in NOLA, and this accidental shooting of a friend gets more attention? We live in a sick world. But if it brings him down, it removes a monster from the world scene. Makes the nation look even more superficial to the rest of the world, but that's probably fair.

6. Goes straight to his character
It wasn't oops, I dropped the Thanksgiving turkey on the floor.

It was, jump out of a vehicle to shoot some birds that might not have even been able to fly, after picnicking and drinking with a couple of women not your wife, then swing around wildly and nearly kill someone.

Not like hunting with your buddies I'd bet.

7. That's been driving me crazy, too!
If the news media had spent a 10th of the effort investigating the claims of the Bush administration for going to war that they have spent covering Cheney's bluderbuss blunder, we might not even be IN Iraq! The news media in this country just sucks! The only scandals they'll pursue are the meaningless ones.
