Just saw on MSN - Cheney cited by TX officials over shooting.
He didn't have the required $7 permit to shoot upland game birds. Getting juicier all the time!

2. Bush's and Cheney's motto: it's ALWAYS someone else's fault!
Didn't "ignorance of the law is no excuse" used to be the rule?

3. hell, I know there are specific stamps for different game
and I have never had a hunting license. An experienced hunter should ask. I know when I've bought fishing licenses in TX the official always asked me what what i was fishing and where to make sure I had the right stamps. THe party of personal responsibility my ass.

5. The Upland Bird Stamp came out last June.
It replaced several other stamps. If Cheney's "people" didn't care about Texas law--why didn't the ranch owner? www.tpwd.state.tx.us/newsmedia/releases/?req=20050629a I'm not a hunter, but even I know about Duck Stamps!

4. And Armstrong let him hunt without a license on her property
He is king and doesn't need one... This is the land of kings not the land of law...

It's a sort of elite version of plea bargaining. Texas authorities don't ask questions and Dick pays a few bucks. They're even now.

11. As soon as this story broke, I opined that Cheney probably didn't have
a license to hunt. These guys are so obvious and predictable.

13. Bingo on the BAC! My thoughts exactly.
You don't suppose that's why it took over 24 hours for the story to get out. Nah, couldn't be. Could it??
