Senator Dodd on CSpan right now pushing a bill that will give
money to our troops by taking away future tax cuts from the highest one percent (1.5?) of americans. Why do I think this will never fly?

2. watching - rock on Senator Dodd
this will not pass, but it will be a killer point in the next elections - how the right protected the tax cuts of their wealthy friends above the needs of our soldiers.

3. Ungrateful veterans!
If it weren't for those top 1% of Americans they wouldn't have been able to fight in a war!

Good for him. I would be so ashamed to turn down a bill like this, but I bet the numbers will be high. Does anyone know the name of the bill?

Oh, it just came on. Tax reconciliation bill.

7. it was the game the Repugs played during the Clinton years
and a lot in the military brought the Repug lies.

Year after year Clinton would ask for say 4.5% raise and the Repugs would pass 4.6% and say Clinton was cheap and they "saved" the military by giving more than Clinton wanted. BS .001 percent of say 20,000 is $20 per year. Clinton part was $900 per year....
