COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Prosecutors on Monday charged a prominent GOP fundraiser Monday with theft and money laundering in an investigation of a controversial state investment in rare coins that has embroiled Republicans in scandal during an election year.

The charges against coin dealer Tom Noe conclude a 10-month investigation by a team of state and federal prosecutors into the $50 million rare coin investment Noe managed for the state insurance fund for injured workers

15. Hey, if you have a great link for info, share with us all.
So many newbies and lurkers here now wanting to learn, we should offer up as much related material/links for them as we can. Helps America catch up on all the dirt the GOP has been throwing in their eyes. Sometimes we can help a whole new crowd find out all the shit that goes on and show more folks it isn't all 'conspiracy theory & partisan politics' like the GOP tries to label it to blow it off.

Pretty please? :hi:

3. well, it's about time!
May it reach deep into the GOP and bring them all down. Noe strikes me as the type not to want to go down alone.

13. Isn't It About Time To Start Investigating...
the Republican contributions and any charities with even a hint of having a Republican on their board and track all of the donations back to see if they were laundered. They have to be the "cleanest" party in the west.

20. 53 counts; nice
I wonder how many insurance actuaries would recommend investing insurance funds in rare coins?

Noe should spend an extended period of time in the Grey Bar Hotel, and he should have lots and lots of company.

23. Is he going to cooperate with prosecutors? If not this is a sham.
Noe and his wife were players in Selection 2004. Prosecutors could lean on them to get bigger fish. If they dont, then the prosecution is a cover up.

24. Supposedly, THESE are the charges that resulted from him cooperating
If that is the case, this is REALLY bad for some Repubs. REALLY BAD..all the way to the WH as well as that asshat Blackwell, and just watch that idiot Bob Ney resign for "personal reasons" soon.
