Laura Bush should STFU...
Go out and teach some kids to read "My Pet Goat," but shut the fuck up! You are not qualified to comment on politics or much of anything else.

2. You bet! What's this in relation to . . .
. . . other than the general fact that she should -- on principle -- STFU?

Did she say something especially odious and Stepford-like recently?

6. Yep!
Said that Senator Clinton was "out of bounds" for saying that "Dime Bag Laura's" cokehead husband is "the worst President in History".

7. Well I guess she's gonna be really perturbed . . .
When Hill suggests that Schimpanski be publicly flogged and air-dropped on The Hague!

8. Here's the story:
Laura Bush said Saturday that Hillary Rodham Clinton's criticism of her husband's administration was "out of bounds," arguing that the former first lady should show some empathy for the current White House occupants.
...
"We know what it's like to live in that house. We certainly know what it's like to have your husband criticized," Mrs. Bush said. "So I think there's a certain empathy that we might have for each other that we wouldn't have maybe for somebody else who said something like that."
...
Mrs. Bush called the cartoons "reprehensible" and also said the United States and other world leaders should speak out about the violence.

"If we resort to violence, it's very, very difficult to have any sort of dialogue," she said.

started an unnecessary preemptive war? Kind of strange for her to be against violence.

18. Well, Pickles, here's the thing ...
"If we resort to violence, it's very, very difficult to have any sort of dialogue." That's a good thought, and a good quote. Why don't you try to convince your murdering husband of that sometime?

As for your other comment re Hillary:

"We certainly know what it's like to have your husband criticized. So I think there's a certain empathy that we might have for each other ..."

Well, the funny thing is that I don't remember you showing any such 'empathy' when your husband's own cronies bash Bush, and Hillary herself, every chance they get.

As for both of your husbands being 'criticized', well, I can see your point. After all, YOUR husband gets criticized a LOT MORE than her husband ever did, but that's because your husband is the idiot who's ruined our country.

Just wanted to set the record straight, Pickles -- oh, and by the way, don't you think it makes your hubby look like a cowardly cry-baby when both his wife and his daddy have to jump to his defence all the time?

Just wonderin' ...

3. Her comments -rare as they are -
are a non-intelligent judgment of the person or the occurance she is commenting on. Not anything of value, of independent thought, of personal opinion. Just a typical judgmental slam of the messenger's personhood.

It makes me rabid.
She is a marionette and real incompetents are pulling the strings :)

10. i agree
that Laura Bush isn't exactly the brightest candle in the Menorah. I think that history will judge Bush to be the worst president. He is polarizing, pathological liar who alogn with the GOP-controlled Congress are spending out country into financial ruin.

14. Why is it that all of these creeps seem to have killed other people
it's not like this is a terribly common thing, I don't know a single person that has taken a human life except for my vet friends in battle.

16. I agree with you re Laura's qualifications but she has the same freedom
of speech as you and I.

It's unfortunate that she has a platform that gives her media attention but get even by writing short, intelligent, letters to the editor rebutting her remarks.

"Don't get mad, get even"

20. This thread makes me ill
I heard her remarks. They were pretty bland, and didn't sound vengeful. I may not find Laura Bush particularly appealing, but she has every right to speak out. Accusing her of killing someone is as stupid and petty as the pukes accusing Ted Kennedy of murder. In fact, transpose the names, and this could easily be a thread on freeperville. The remark that she's not qualified to comment sounds amusingly like the title of Ingraham's book; "Shut Up And Sing."

21. I don't like her...
...and I do not intend to capitulate to those who do. She lies down every damn night with a mass murderer and that indicts her as an accomplice, an aider and abettor, and an enabler. Anyone who defends her is drinking the kool-aid. :grr:

simplistic take on things. Your inability to address one thing I brought up in my post is noted, along with your frothing at the mouth.

We realize Ms. Bush is a public figure, but this thread seems to be generating more than its share of crap.

Thanks for your consideration.
