Brownie *did* a heck of a job.
I listened to Brownie testify. A bit disingenous, considering he was more concerned about the cut fo his suit, and of his dinner arrangements, than the death and suffering, but one thing started becoming obvious.

Brownie is sick of all the "Heck of a job" shit.

It looks like he took a bullet for the chimp, and the lack of gratitude for doing so is starting to piss him off. The chimp was sitting on info a day before he admitted to doing so.

Lets see what the bushbots do with all this new information.

2. Hopefully the stink of his incompetence will continue . . .
Blowing toward the Big White House, until it soaks into the carpets and the drapes. Useful campaign issue: "This is the kind of man Republicans entrust with your safety."

On another point, what a whiner Brown is! And totally clueless what constitutes "leadership". Since they've invested so much swamp gas in puffing up Schimpanski as a "great leader," the similarity between the two should be telling -- if it's told.

4. Brownie is a 'fallguy' not a 'scapegoat' ... without a golden parachute
The beauty of a good organization with well-honed policies and procedures and decent overall management is that it's IMMUNE to individual ineptitude, even at the Director level.

FEMA/DHS is obviously NOT a good organization with well-honed policies and procedures and decent overall management.

Even so, the breadth and extent of the FAILURES of FEMA/DHS just CANNOT be entirely attributed to Brownie's ineptitude. Far more is at play in their CONTINUING failure to deal with the recovery from Katrina. It can only be attributed to deliberate and malicious neglect.

5. Missed something
someone on the news said that he intentionally did not keep Chertoff informed. Did anyone hear such testimony from Brownie. And if so, did he say why?
