An ability to "SWEEP UP" phone calls and other information....
Right now on HARDBALL.....

Evidently there is some new technology?^&^%$#....have you heard about this?
Pat Buch says....well it's not like what happened in the Nixon admin....

....where they did actual WIRE taps
(Pat points his figure as if to think that this means an actual HARD WIRE connection to a phone)....

so this is DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!!

HARDWIRE VS WHAT?????????
REALLY^&^^%%$$$##@!

This is somehow intercepting the ETHER?????.....the illusive AIR WAVES....who knows exactly where they are coming from right?....can't exactly determine who it is?

So what's the point of this "google search" determination of key words, key "thresholds of pain"....UNLESS THERE IS AN ACTUAL WAY TO TRACE TO THE REAL SOURCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat B ACTUAL DIRECT QUOTE....."it is coming from the AIR"

So this means somehow we're not violating anyone's right?
Is this how they are rationalizing this????????????

BAHHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What we're witnessing here is the inherent incompetence of Repukes.....the insanity/rationalization they constantly hold that technology CAN'T be misused.....afterall...it's got something to do with business...right?#$$%%$#@#!!

1. Aren't a lot of phone transmissions done via microwave relays?
So, in a way, no real wires are hurt in the making of this stunt.

3. Please take note.....this potential slip about the "technology"
People tend to be braindead....or else enamored by the "technology" that is out there.

It tends to placate people....and make them numb to what's really going on.

This should be blown wide open....if we really had some competent reporters to unearth WTF is going on....namely....

1. Interception....and going to WHAT computer....for "google analysis".
2. What then is done with this data base....which probably never goes away as long as Bushco is in power.
3. How do you then progressively go about filtering this information (what specific algorithms are used) and how is anyone singled out.

There has to be a direct connection methodology between the "air filter" and who is then figured.

IT'S THE FINAL REALIZATION OF 1984.
PUT A FREEKIN "AIR FILTER" ON THAT BUSHCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. If that's the case
they won't mind if everyone scrambles their phone lines.

5. It's been described as a "google" type mechanism
That's just the start of what really is probably an extremely complex computer system and methodology of how to get to people.

Read it here first.

Think about it.

The technology is absolutely there to "google search" ....then "filter" the results...over and over in any one particular algorithm vs. another.

You could even combine such searches with other data bases which attempt to match results with other "disturbing factors"....thus realizing a place to potentially point a finger.

4. Buchanan is full of shit
Didn't the phone companies cooperate by providing backdoor access to the NSA directly into their trunk lines? This isn't via microwaves. I doubt very much the NSA would be picking up a POTS phone line somewhere via satellite or some other non-hard wired feed without cooperation from the phone companies.

The simple fact on this issue is the White House did an end-around on the constitution. He and his crew decided on their own to not file the FISA warrants. He had in-house counsel decide the legality instead of having special counsel inside the NSA discuss the issue. He never requested a change to the FISA laws from Congress.

Whether it was justified or not, in a nation built on laws, the ends do not justify the means. As Tweety so eloquently made the statement, the American public doesn't seem to care so long as the NSA is targeting Ahmed, but as soon as they target McCarthy, Jones, and Spinelli (paraphrasing here), they will begin to care.

To me, that fact is bullshit as well.

Say for example I get wind of some drug dealers threatening to rough up my neighbor next week. Instead of calling the police and notifying them of the situation, I buy an unlicensed gun off the street, and gun down the dealers as they approach my neighbor.

Sure, the end may be justified, but I bypassed the system and broke at least three laws I can think of in the process. Would I be in jail? More than likely.

6. The access point could have been sleezed.....

We know the internet can be hacked to the point of revealing probably 90% of what's on everyone's computer....if you really had the assets to accomplish this?

Do they?

Unless you have a quality router and/or firewall you're being accessed right now.

Here's the problem ...people have this potential sublimal view of the internet .....like...well....I don't mind if I'm "naked" .

Having an "access point" potentially supercharges their ability to get to millions of people.

But my theory is....
All it takes really is a dedicated room of people....
And computers...
Give the green light...
And away you go.

9. I hate to be kurt
But I don't have to.

Think about it.
The technology is there to intercept....filter...establish whatever data bases...act on the information any way they want....via obscure bureaucratic measures...

This is the point.
No one understands the technology.

Because we DON'T understand the limits of the technology.
DEFINE IT.
THEN LEGISLATE

10. The technology has been there for over a decade and been used.
"'Electronic surveillance' means— (1) the acquisition by an electronic, mechanical, or other surveillance device of the contents of any wire or radio communication sent by or intended to be received by a particular, known United States person who is in the United States, if the contents are acquired by intentionally targeting that United States person, under circumstances in which a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy and a warrant would be required for law enforcement purposes;"

If you already the technology was available and used for decades, then your OP was misleading.

Have a nice evening. :hi:
