This really looks like a story which will have a decent ending. Both West Virginia senators have slammed the Pentagon for billing a wounded soldier $700 for his destroyed body armor, and the Pentagon has promised an investigation. Meanwhile, almost $6000 was raised to help the soldier pay back his buddies who forked over the money to pay his body armor bill, and the young veteran has pledged to donate it to help rebuild the home of a Louisiana mother of a soldier in Iraq who helped save Lt. Rebrook's life. The bulk of the money raised came from donations through AmericaBlog.
