Funeral report from last night ("politicizing")
Last night I went to the King Center to wait for the procession to arrive. It was an incredibly warm feeling on a very cold night. I engaged in numerous discussion over the course of four hours with dozens of people who were there (all African Americans). Every single one, with no exception, was overjoyed at the things that were said and that you are bemoaning. Every single one, without exception, wished that more had been said. Their favorite speeches after those delivered by friends of the family, were Bill Clinton's and Jimmy Carter's. They LOVED what Joseph Lowery had to say. I have never seen such unanimity in opinion amongst so mmany people. Ponder that for a while. There were people there who knew Coretta and they said she would be smiling. So what you term "shenanigans" is viewed somewhat differently by those who knew her and those who came to honor her.

By the way, here are pictures from yesterday evening.

1. we dont get a fair representation from media....... EVER
Edited on Wed Feb-08-06 08:19 AM by seabeyond
not once in years. doesnt happen. i like your points though, everyone without exception was thrilled with what was said

we have to know we dont and wont get fair representation. oct 2004 i shut off news. knowing this for a fact. wont happen. media is used to smear, lessen, dismiss, ridicule, hold in disdain, the democratic party. we as a party have to stand strong with our dems instead of jumping in on the frenzy of ripping dems apart. we demand they get their message out. everytime something is finally said, we say yea..... and media slimes it.

2. CNN got an early start this morning..how pathetic
That was the other thing I heard over and over again. They were completely aware of what the media is doing. THAT was refreshing to hear.

4. Screw the whining right wing A-holes.
Finally poor King George had to sit through some real criticism. Tough cheese for him and his daddy! If they weren't so consistently evil it might have been a little easier on them. When everything you stand for is the opposite of the American ideal. When you fight against the poor and against civil rights. When your dream isn't rooted in the "American Dream" that makes you the bad guys of history. Reverend Lowery isn't responsible for that, he just pointed it out.

5. The bushites and the media are trying to distract us from the spying
This is just a cover to distract us from the real story. CNN and all the other corporate medias want us to look the other way so we don't notice that the crazy king George is spying on American citizens without warrants because we are so deathly afraid of terrorists.
