What the dems need to do...from an unlikely source

Andrew Sullivan has been excellent on this cartoon issue, in fact, I find I agree with him on lots of stuff and he is fed up with the GOP. Why he says he could never been a Dem is a mystery to me. Anyway, he's on the money with this:

here's what I'd say if I were in opposition right now. These guys are corrupt and incompetent. They have screwed up the Iraq war, turned FEMA into a joke and landed the next generation with a mountain of debt. We're for making the homeland safer, winning back our allies, and taking on the Iranian dictatorship. We're for energy independence, universal healthcare and balancing the budget again. Now, let Rove do his worst. Hey, we need Democrats who relish the fight, not timid ones who cower at the prospect. Bring back the happy warriors. Please.

2. I don't suppose he voted for Kerry

I wonder if he noticed that Kerry was saying more than half of that stuff. Winning back allies, energy independance, etc.

Besides FEMA which he didn't know about at the time. But that's what he ran on, right in that post.

I don't remember if he did, but he was definitely opposed to Bush in 2004.
