more outrage please
i need to see more outrage out of you people, and not JUST you people but all americans. i see it building up steam, but we need to scream louder, type faster, write oftener, and generally raise hell and crank it up about ten notches on the outrage scale.

the others who are still asleep may need slapped in the face a bit, and screamed at a bit before their built-in defensive outrage instinct kicks in.

outrage, it's cool again.

1. Right there with you, Mopaul.
I was outraged before it was cool, maybe that is the problem,
I am not cool otherwise, so noone wants to be like me.

This GOP wanker on WJ is getting my ourage level up there, and I type faster when I'm pissed.

6. Don't fight it - go with your natural circadian rhythms...
Some folks do outrage best in the morning; others reach their peak in the afternoon or night. Do what works best for your own particular OUTRAGE rhythm...

:hi:

And, thanks MoPaul. Your OP reminds me that there is an older gentleman in my community who says that as the Vietnam War escalated he would leave work for lunch, then return to sit down and write a letter of protest to a member of Congress or the WH or a newspaper. A letter a day for years -- that is good model. He did more than write letters, he also went to protests and donated money to anti-war causes, etc - the letter-writing strikes me as a good discipline.

8. What you need is a revolution. March on Washington and don't stop until
the bastards are removed from office, fired, stripped of all their wealth and sent to exile, penniless in the mountains of Afghanistan in a caged compound from which they cannot escape.

Ever.

Then, America can be free again.

13. How do you lite a fire under apathy??
People I talk to in everyday life shake their head in agreement with me when we talk about the hill in Washington. They say nothing surprises them any more. Yet I can't seem to get any of them fired up to even write a letter? The electric and gas company's are hosing everyone, not just democrats and the people go oh well we can't do anything about it. They won't even call their governor and complain. I just had an idea Mo, a way to get the message to the people in our neighborhood in a non-political campaign way. Host an saturday or sunday afternoon beer garden in your back yard. A lot of organizing was done by labor in the late 1800's at immigrant gatherings such as german beer gardens and irish pubs on sundays. Brilliant!
