6. Well, considering I have minus funds in my bank account...

and two midterms that week, I won't be going. Doesn't mean I'm lazy. Doesn't mean I don't want peace. Doesn't mean I don't want to be there. Grades are the only thing that are paying for my education (that and the scraps I get from the pell grant), and skipping midterms won't help me maintain a 4.0. Not all of us who can't be there are lazy slackers. I'll definitely be there in spirit.

hopefully I'll be in a position to influence change in this country. My goal is to get my Bachelor's in Rhetoric & Media Studies with a minor in Political Science - I just have to see if I've been accepted into the private four-year University that offers that major (I should hear this week). After I graduate, I'm hoping to work as a Political Communications Director at either the state or national level. I'm tired of the way the ugliness in the lives of the average working American gets such a euphemistic spin that people forget there is poverty, and hunger, and unemployment, and war happening. People are dieing both at home and abroad from indifference - and while I may not be at this one rally, know that I am trying to do something about it.

I certainly did not say that everyone who is not going is a lazy ass. I should have been more clear. My post is directed only at lazy asses. By the way, I'm a lazy ass, in case you were wondering. I frequently need to kick myself in the butt to get anything done. For example, I had to kick myself in the butt this morning to go make arrangements to get my sorry lazy ass down to DC. However it is far easier to give somebody else's lazy ass a swift and encouraging kick in the right direction than it is to give one's own sorry lazy ass the same kick.
