Poll question: How much of the SOTU will you be able to watch?
The arrogance continues, the self-delusions are on the increase, the small-mindedness has never been stronger.

The last time he appeared in public, they kept still cameras away and showed a pre-taped, Prozac'd semi-comatose parrot, reciting his lines as though they were being read to him in his earpiece.

Yet, on Tuesday, the MSM has billed his latest attempt to the the communicator in chief as his last, best chance to change public opinion over IraqNam, over the economy, over his presidency and over my dead body. The question is,

How much of the SOTU will you be able to watch?

44. I will probably watch with the sound off.
Edited on Sat Jan-20-07 11:38 PM by liberaldemocrat7
At first I decided not to watch the terror clown give a speech but when I just recalled that Nancy Pelosi will sit next to the snarl and the terror clown will speak in front of them I can probably stand to watch the video with the sound off.

Honestly I want to watch the terror clown as much as I want to watch Charlie Manson make a speech. They both rant a lot and you realize that death comes from both of them.

You, boy, who owe everything to a name - Postulo Praesieo !!

2. I'm interested in seeing Nancy Pelosi sitting behind the boy king. It's historic.
Now that we have a Democratic majority for the first boy king SOTU address, I'm interested in watching all the dynamics.

28. Me too.
I haven't been able to sit through an entire SOTU in six years, but I will watch as much as I can tolerate because I want to see Nancy Pelosi sitting there. Also I want to hear Jim Webb's response.

3. I have to add for the MSM: there is NO WAY the boy king will be able to change public opinion
about any aspect of his monarchy. It may as well be written in stone that he's a liar & a con man.

4. All of it - "Know Thy Enemy"
No matter how bad it hurts, I'll listen to all of it.

If Nancy has any sense at all she will be out there all weekend demanding that the President address our nation's energy problems. that way when he uses it as his only crutch in the SOTU Democrats will be able to take credit for the initiative. Energy should be the only thing on her lips between now and the twerp's show.

8. I'm inviting friends to protect the TV - I must watch and listen,
like with any train wreck the fascination of live action is hard to turn down.
I am thinking of inventing a transparent spit and bullet proof protector for the TV screen to be pulled across during Bush speeches.
There is an ever growing market for it.

My sanity, my health, and my new HDTV.
This would lead to this and this :puke: and finally, throwing something small and extremely heavy at my beautiful TV. I like that TV.

I haven't been able to watch his SOTU Bullshit since the one in January 2004. I spent too much time screaming at the TV set back then. (And let me tell you, it's a weird thing to be sitting alone in a room, yelling at your TV set -- makes you think of Taxi Driver.) I think that was the very last time I voluntarily watched (or indeed listened to) anything from our Current Occupant.

24. Her teacher is a nutcase who thinks the chimp walks on
water. One morning I had a conference with her during her free period - which happens to be first period. We were sitting in an otherwise empty classroom when the morning announcements came on over the PA. I was ignoring them, but when she heard the flag salute start, she jumped up, hand over heart and boomed it out - explaining right after that reciting the pledge each morning is a highlight of her day because she's a "patriotic" American who loves "everything our great nation stands for. God bless President Bush." (Her quote)

How someone who teaches US history including the Constitution could be such an ignoramous is beyond me.

As for the State of the Union, my daughter knows how I feel about the chimp. Fortunately, she doesn't need the points.
