We're hearing them say FAIR...AND...BALANCED. Three words, right?
Fair in this case means "Justice, to act a just, unbiased manner"

Balanced- (same source) "Balance is sometimes used in reference to political content in the mass media....In order to provide an intellectual rationalization for an increased level of Conservative content, John Reith, the BBC's founder, promoted a concept called balance."

So all we have left is "AND"...which is pretty self explanatory, right?

Here's where we're dropping the ball...
In some older English dialects, 'fair' means 'very' or 'extremely'.
And who's to say that what we are hearing as "...AND balanced" might not be actually "UNbalanced"?
