1. Proving again that I am a good Christian
I am laughing so hard. To people who get offended at these sorts of cartoons, I am the brand of Christian that does as Jesus did, not that worships the person.

5. Apparently your cartoons could also piss the muslims off
all cartoons of prophets are illegal....just the last prophet with the final word ie. Mohammed is more illegal....Off with your head.

6. Isn't there a Commandment about no graven images?
Wouldn't this apply to Judaism, Christianity, Islam equally? So why are there crucifixes and statues and those sorts of things, seems predominantly in some Christian sects?

11. Some Ch. churches will not put up a cross.
Their has always been fights about what book you can read and images etc. Artist had rules they had to go by when they painted. JC was taken from the Greek God as an images. Their were great fights in the early church on how they used an image they said was JC

22. With the crosses one time
my preacher did a sermon about how people wear their crosses around their necks and what the cross means (or is supposed to mean to Christians). The cross is where they tortured and killed people and it was very humiliating and painful so that's why a lot of Christian's feel that way about the cross including myself.

9. The difference is forgiveness.
Forgive yourself, forgive the world. Don't have enemies. Any religion that can't follow these simple rules needs serious work, in my opinion.

14. A Westerner making fun of Christ and a Westerner making fun of
Mohammed are two different things. Of course I don't see anything wrong with a Christian making fun of Christ. However, let's face the facts: Muslims don't make fun of Jesus. Never. Jesus is one of their prophets. Many Muslim countries are very intolerant, no doubt. Still, they don't make fun of Jesus. I bet Israeli newspapers make fun of Muslims all the time as well. However, Europeans don't make fun of Jews as that would be considered anti-semitic and rightly so. Yet, they make fun of Muslims. Something here isn't right if you ask me.

16. da ya THINK Euros might be just a tad sensitive to the, oh......
HOLOCAUST, its origins, and the complicity of MANY European nations?

da ya think?

could that have something to do with it?

that said, if they are uniformly making fun of Muslims, that's not very wise, as recent events have shown

what it does show is the complete insanity of religious power systems that elicit responses of the sort displayed by crazed Muslims, as well as crazed Xtian Reconstructionists (for just two examples) here

how many years will it be until the last vestiges of antidiluvian superstionism have found there way out of, at least, society's political consciousness?

buy all the hallucinatory gibberish you want, just don't make it the basis for ANY governmental functions, heraldric, hortatrory, or legal

17. That's why I said "rightly so"
We shouldn't stoop to the level of rogue nations like Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia, 100% of Saudis are Muslims. There isn't even one Saudi who is a Christian or a Jew. I bet they were all driven out, or forced to convert to Islam or butchered. But this is Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is a rogue nation. They have newspapers making fun of Jews and Christians all the time. Are we supposed to follow suit just because they act that way? Or are we supposed to act a bit more civilized. Sure, freedom of speech and expression and all that, but as we can see Muslims are very sensitive when it comes to prophet Mohammed. We need to be careful not to rile up fanatics even more. Furthermore, it'll just add fuel to the fire and probably will drive more Muslims towards fanaticism. Muslims don't like the "depraved" west already. Don't wanna exacerbate the situation imho.

though you're just exercising your own rights.

kinda sounds like the neocrytofascists' game right here, doesn't it?

can I start with Coulter as an example, and how her career seems to be flourishing, as opposed to, say, John Dean, and what the MSM did to him when it looked like he might actually be a threat to the hegemons?

21. Personally I think more insults are needed all over the world
I think the people who are agitated will soon learn something the rest of us learned a long time ago.

There are a lot of things in the world that are distasteful and even insulting but the key is you don't have to look at them.

I think in a short time today's outrages will be tomorrow's routine and those outraged will learn that their life and religion will get along just fine even with an insulting comic in the paper.

I hope the result of this isn't that we can insult anyone except Muslims because they're a little extra sensitive. That's just not a good policy to follow for the world.
