If this surge means we stay at least another year beyond what we otherwise would, it will likely cost us a minimum of 1,000 more American lives and perhaps 8,000 more wounded.

Any other thoughts on how to crunch the numbers? I am probably on the conservative side with these figures.

Shows you how important it is for us to stop this from taking place!

1. Most disturbing is this:
This isn't a "surge" at all...there isn't any sudden, massive buildup, instead, he is feeding more troops in "piecemeal", that is a couple hundered here, a couple hundred there over a period of several months...not weeks...months.

Does this make it easier or harder for the warring parties to pick off the troops?

I don't know....

All I know that this isn't a "surge" in any sense of the word.

3. As always, lots of words and no real meaning behind them.
Pretending to do something "new" and "different" but instead, just putting a new spin on the same old, same old.

2. When asked,at the hearing, Kindasleazy said......
they hadn't made an assessment of that. WTF!? What kind of war planning is that? I nearly fell out of my chair and the questioner didn't follow up.
