Per CNN, Jim Webb will give Democratic response to State of the Union.

5. Uhoh. That's gonna leave a mark.
On Dear Leader. It's gonna be not unlike him having his procreative nodules dropped into a woodchipper. While still attached.

26. A true defender of American values vs ... (fill in the blanks)!
Edited on Wed Jan-17-07 03:32 AM by bananarepublican
I really hope JW socks it to Bush.

Why can't he talk about:-
* Stolen elections - American democracy protection.
* Black-hole-like-non-Republican oversight - Republican corruption and ethical collapses.
* Catastrophic incompetence - Katrina, Iraq... to infinity.
* Right-wing-freak-show 'Cold War' = Right-wing-freak-show 'War on Terror'.

JFK stood up to the 'Cold War' promoters of the day (and the money men behind them), Bush folded (at best) or conspired (at worst) to the 'War on Terror' neocon (money-men-cut-out) agenda.

Jim Webb has proven he is willing to take a bullet for his country (don't forget his son is currently in the firing line). Why can't he challenge Bush in some way on that score?

Spleen vented... I understand why he won't go as far as the above suggests. But Jim! Please kick some ass!!!

24. No, it's not tonight,
I'm not sure about the date, but I think that it may be Jan 27th. As it gets closer the media will be playing it up more & more.
