I called all three of my reps a week ago, and I plan to call Boxer again today to thank her for grilling our pathetic Sec. of State.

(Don't give me the-rolling-eyes-act, Rice. I want answers. That's why my senator is before you asking the questions. Those questions came from constituents. You are answering to Californians, and Californians don't accept juvenile contorted facial expressions from someone calling themselves "Doctor.")

I think it's important to guide the new Congressional agenda with phone calls to members expressing what's on your mind. They're the ones who need to hear our concerns and rants, not the converted.

1. I called Harry Mitchell, AZ CD5
looking for district office info. It isn't open yet, but will be soon.

He's the 60-something year-old "freshman" who unseated JD Hayworth (R-Blowhard).

YES!!!!!

I'll bet he still believes there are WMD in Iraq and that we simply haven't found them yet. Having his stupid ass in the Hou$e is about like having no representation at all. Our next-to-last email exchange involved him telling me how CONVINCING the pResident was about WMD and how hard it would have been NOT to believe bu$hler, sitting around the table at that breakfast meeting.

Our LAST email exchange involved me telling him that I was sorry to bother him in the middle of his comfortable delusion and that I would trouble him no more, either by contacting him or voting for him.

So, have I called my representative? No. But I would if I HAD ONE!

6. Wouldn't do me any good.
My state was stupid enough to send the only Republican freshman to the senate.

8. Hey, I've got 2 admitted Republicans + Mary Landrieu. That's not stopping me from calling them all.

Even if he is a Republican, he's still your representative, and you've got the right to be heard.

Besides, what if every Democrat in your state felt the same way? You certainly don't strike me as the type to give up.

And you might be pleasantly surprised... the reception I got via the phone last week from the two Republicans' staffers was *much* warmer than it's been in past years. ;)

I'm gonna call "Buck's" office now...he's got the Mormon vote sewed up in Canyon Country. His staff are screamers too. W/karma on my side, he'll end up a cellmate of "Duke's."

I called Representative Jan Schakowsky's (D-IL9th) Washington office to urge her to oppose any escalation of the war in Iraq. Of course she will, but I wanted to make my feelings known anyway.
