The Earth Hangs In the Balance

for many reasons.

One, or two, can point to global warming being the reason. And, they would be right.

Some can point to all the senseless wars that are taking place all over the world; continuously.

Some can point to all the poverty and hunger that exist in most parts of the world.

Some look into a different mirror.

Some point to all the people who are creating change in this world, right now, that causes real change. Less deaths. Less hunger. Less Poverty.

Look in the mirror and go with what you see.

There will always be pain and suffering, poverty and hunger; but, do you want to look in the mirror and say one thing, or do you want to say the other?

We all hang in the balance.

1. The reasons you stated are symptoms of the disease.

We need to free ourselves (individually) from the "disease" of our limbic system's responses to global, societal, environmental, industrial, and individual problems which are unprecedented in history. Our "old brain" is not suited well for this task. We need empathy, compassion, and critical thinking now more than ever.

greed, aggression, acquisitiveness, ect will lead to our demise one way or another imo.
