2. Great, great show - earlier he was discussing how Abizaid was fired
for having had misgivings about the gearing up for war with Iran. I don't remember which guest mentioned that (Steve Clemons?). Also, they mentioned that General Petraeus had wanted to implement the strategy that Bush is planning to use in Baghdad several years ago, but that Rumsfeld had had Petreus banished to the Army’s Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Now, apparently, it's coming too late to turn things around.

Ian Masters said that in the context of a discussion of the media and how our government has given the airwaves away to big media companies who give nothing in return. Great stuff.
