I receive about ten 419 Nigerian scams per day in various forms but this was a first from a purported Muslim directed to me as a Muslim – of which I am not!

Anyone else receive one of these? This is a new twist as most of them are from purported Born Again Christians. Watch out for the e-mails that begin with “Compliments of the day” This seems to be a favored scammer greeting.

2. mzmolly - were they directed to your dad or you as a Muslim?

This seems to be a strange approach in a scam seeing that we are involved with a war in Iraq - a Muslim country.

3. They were not directed to anyone in particular, just started with

Hello my name is XXXX and I am from Africa. I need your help .... the letters go on to say that they need info on a bank account to deposit an inheritance check or some such thing. It's basically a phishing operation.

I don't know if these are the emails your speaking of however?

4. Gee, I never get junk mail. I filter it all out. If you want to send me mail, you get a bouncebac

and you have to ask. The spammers never ask.....
