He's getting a head start on the weekend. He's depressed because his new plan is going over like a fart in church.

10. 3 day weekend - toss down a few in honor of his old buddy
M L King. Remember repukes claim that if King were alive today he'd be supporting Bush and his war. Took some serious drinking and snorting to come up with that one.

Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 11:20 AM by alyce douglas
he is nothing but a turncoat. There will be just more death and destruction, our troop casualty rate will keep going up, and this evil regime will definitely start something with Iran. We have to remove these thugs. oops sorry I thought I was on the C Span 3 thread.

7. What does he have to threaten them with - he'll campaign for their reelection?
The loyalists will line up at the gallows with the man. The other, smarter GOP Congress critters have already distanced themselves from ecalating this mess.

12. I've seen no MSMS coverage of this trip.
arm twisting, blackmail, even threats - is that too much to ask from our president?

But, let's look at the facts from the GOP leadership view:

they lost a huge election, despite trying to steal votes across the board.
the American public has told them, NO!
their own popularity is severely at risk, as they well know.
this president is a lame duck, with no possible public reaction that can affect him, (except impeachment, or his future effort to take over the country)

I suspect that not all of them will cave, and even worse for the president, they may indicate one thing, while end up acting with their own self-preservation at the forefront.

14. Camp David is where he gets his 'narcissistic supply' - surrounded by sycophants.
He's the center of attention - king of his castle and boss frog in the pond. He can yell at the cooks and throw tantrums ... and see reactions that confirm his existence. Laura feeds his codependency. It's a good place for the meds to kick in, too.
