2. Clark seems to toe the official line :(...
he says what we see in Iraq is a long term conflict involving the 2 main elements of Islam, the Shiite and Sunni....but that's bs. THe US had no right to occupy Iraq; Mark Green concurred with Clark, and, well, it was terrible to hear these guys blame the victims. 665 thousand Iraqis have died, according to impartial observers, since the US moved in - shouldn't THAT ALONE suggest that any Shiite Sunni conflict is secondary to the avarice and brutishness of the invaders?

3. You heard a different interview than I did.
Clark never blamed anyone except the current regime in washington for this mess. he said that there IS a long-term conflict--and there is!--between sunnis and shiites, but he certainly didn't blame them.

4. He said he will be deciding whether to enter the Presidential
race within a few weeks. He has put off making the decision because it is more important to get out what he feels is crucial discussion on the bush admin's bad policies and how to change them and knows that were he to declare himself as a candidate anything he might say would be viewed as strictly political and he feels this is too important for that. As usual, imo, he is showing his incredible integrity by delaying his decision as it does put him behind in fund-raising, etc.
