Threats and hate mail after offering to accept Mexican pesos (TX pizza company)
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/011207dnbuspesofolo.2e173218.html

A pizza chain has been hit with death threats and hate mail after offering to accept Mexican pesos, becoming another flashpoint in the nation's debate over immigrants.

"This is the United States of America, not the United States of Mexico," one e-mail read. "Quit catering to the damn illegal Mexicans," demanded another.

Wal-Mart, H-E-B supermarkets and other American businesses in towns along the Mexican border accept pesos. And some busineses in New York and Minnesota communities along the northern border accept Canadian dollars.

Many Pizza Patron customers have pesos "sitting in their sock drawers or in their wallets," Gamm said. "We're talking small amounts, where it would be inconvenient to stop and exchange on the way back -- maybe 10 or 20 dollars' worth of pesos." The promotion will run through the end of February and then be re-evaluated, Swad said.

6. They're not necessarily dealing with illegals
There are somethings that Mexicans will legally cross the border to go get at these various stores, just like Americans taking a day trip to Tijuana. If they don't have to stop at a bank to exchange money, it's a convenience for them. Heck, it happens at least as far north as Oklahoma. I used to twist balloons in an arcade in a Mexican market that had buses from Mexico stop in the parking lot. I got quite a few tips in pesos. :)

There is something about the word 'peso' that gets these whackos' panties in a bind.

I see that WallyWorld accept pesos as well. I would like to see these neanderthal fucks boycott them.
