Ahem, over in LBN, Iran just had three big explosions....

Three strong explosions jolted southern Iran on Thursday, the semi-official Fars news agency reported, but gave no information about possible casualties.

"Three explosions were so strong that they shook windows of houses," the agency said.

It was not clear what had caused the explosions in Khorramshahr in the province of Khuzestan, which borders Iraq.

An Oil Ministry official said the explosions occurred far away from any oil facilities in Khuzestan, the heartland of Iran's oil industry, where small bombs damaged 15 pipelines and one oil well in September 2005.

Khuzestan has been simmering with unrest among the province's mostly Arab population for more than a year."

So, has it started?

3. Maybe this was why Smirk was more tense than usual last night
and why the talking heads were so somber.

And we're OFF

4. He looked last night exactly like he did in "Fahrenheit 9/11" ......
when he went on TV announcing the beginning of the Iraq War. The cold, lifeless eyes, the blank expression on his face..... We are under the rule of a true madman.

5. insanity.
I still remain skeptical that we will strike Iran directly - just so insane to do so. But - more and more it seems that we are trying to provoke something, doesn't it? So my skepticism waivers - esp whenever I remember that these folks are indeed insane.

9. according to a kurdish spokesman on BBC radio, it wasn't just shut,
it was demolished. OK, I guess that can be construed as shutting down the essentials.
