But, no, you had to call us pessimists, and even traitors, rather than accept the possibility that we might actually grasp something you cannot. That no matter how much you may want to believe that a war will go according to plan, that the mission is accomplished by simply wishing it to be so, it just doesn't work that way.

People don't usually respond to an invasion by throwing flowers. Particularly when the person who ordered the invasion makes stupid comments likening the battle to a holy war before it ever happens. Particularly when the people in question have long memories and got the short end of the stick the last time someone declared a holy war on those who believed as they did.

But you, Mister Bush, have a habit of saying things that are bound to make matters worse, don't you? It isn't bumbling when you say stupid shit like "Axis of Evil," when your advisors (if they're worth even a fraction of what WE are paying them) know damn well that it'll give the hardliners in Iran a boost in their cultural battle with those who support democracy over theocracy. It's not bumbling when you say "holy war" when you know you're planning to attack a muslim country. It's deliberate, isn't it?

It's like you people thrive on blood and death. You can't bring yourself to negotiate with Iran and Syria, when anyone with a soul knows that the only way to reach some sort of accord is by negotiation.

Some of us are hoping the lot of you are stupid, or simply crazy. But we have the nagging feeling that you're fucking evil. Not stupid. Not crazy. Evil. Consuming lives and hope as if you were a race of alien vampires bent on world domination.

Ah, if only sunlight could put an end to you. But I'm afraid only time, or the harsh light of truth, will be able to do that.
