I understand it is not easy for you to oppose a president of your own party, but first and foremost you must represent your constituents and the American people.

I urge you to oppose this president's escalation of our military involvement in Iraq. In your heart you must know it will fail just as the military solution to the problems of Iraq has only continued to make things worse for more than 3 years. Sending more of our young people in uniform to die in Baghdad is a futile sacrifice that must stop.
