1. Don't forget Poland!
Seriously--I'm sure that this entire debacle will be rectified by deployment of 21,500 more troops. Thank goodness the end is in sight, and Iraq can look forward to an era of peace and prosperity.

8. He is also
keeping troops that were scheduled to come home, in Iraq instead. Some of them have already had multiple deployments, and I can only imagine what their morale is going to be like. They are already exhausted, their families are exhausted, and some of the National Guard troops are facing huge pay losses, as well.

Bush is quite literally destroying our military. When the troops who do manage to escape death come back, some of them will be minus arms, legs, or both. Many will be demon haunted the rest of their lives, the way the Viet Nam vets are. If this war is so important, he would cancel the tax cuts for the wealthy to pay for it, and children of the elite would be fighting, too.

5. This is nuts. They needed up to half a million troops when this
mess started in order for it to have a half assed chance to succeed.

Now we're getting our asses kick and he wants to sent in 21,500.

Oh well, he's only got to hang on until those treaties or whatever go into effect (are being signed today I believe) that gives the US and the UK full control over Iraqi oil assets and any major industry or business in that country. After that what the hell does he care?

6. This is such a great idea that Britain is also sending ---ZERO Troops!!
Tony Blair could not convince Parliment to allow him to deploy even one more soldier to Iraq if he stood on his head on top of Big Ben!

But to Bush it is a great idea! Hmmmm......
