The Kennedy Clan....
So I am looking at this family tree: http://www.jfklibrary.org/jfkl/Family_Tree.htm

Seems a fair number of them died on the youngish side.

1. Live fast, die young, blah blah blah
However, that family has had much more than its fair share of tragedy.

I saw them out and about all the time when I lived in Hyannis. I never saw ANY of them with the behavior shown by the First Twins. I've seen Teddy totally plastered (about 25 years ago), and he was jolly, not belligerent. The contrast between the two quasi royal families in this country is stunning.

I can't help but wish the clan the best, and I gleefully joined the other townies in directing curious tourists to the waste treatment plant when they demanded directions to the Kennedy compound.

2. Rose Kennedy lived to be over 100 years!
Hardly a "short" life!

5. Well then, you did not look close, because very few have died young
On the other hand, they are philanthropic, and for decades, have served their country in many ways.

Everything from helping the mentally challenged to helping people with their heating bills.

You just don’t hear about it in the MSM.

Why don’t you try looking up all the good they have done, rather than death statistics?

felt sad that some of them died too young.

9. Oh, well in that case...

I am well aware of the good that the Kennedys do in the world. My noting the death of some of their younger family members does not take away from that. And in fact, I wasn't looking up death statistics but rather wanted to read the bio of Ted Kennedy and to look at some pics of him when he was younger. At that point I found the family tree and noted, with some sadness that some of their people died young.

Or do you not care that they died young because more of them lived to a ripe old age?

Ah yes...that's the ticket

12. Speaking of powers of deduction, let's review your first reply
"Well then, you did not look close, because very few have died young <snip>

Why don’t you try looking up all the good they have done, rather than death statistics?"

Not TOO snippy, were you? I gave you the benefit of the doubt before, asking if you meant to reply to another post, and I clarified my own post to make certain you understood that I thought it was sad for this great family to suffer those losses.

So here's my next piece of deductive reasoning: You saw my post, you saw my username, and you decided civility and reasoning were unnecessary.

it had given more info on other family members. I am very curious about Kathleen who married a Marquess. I had never read that fact before and thought, for all the mention of the Kennedys as American Royalty, that this was ironic and intriguing. http://www.jfklibrary.org/Historical+Resources/Biographies+and+Profiles/Biographies/Kathleen+Kennedy.htm

Her life was short and her marriage even shorter. :( But she seemed to be a kind and couragerous young woman. (I wonder how many Bushes have volunteered for the Red Cross during wartime?)
