Bush Is *Rehearsing* His Speech Today ===>
Edited on Wed Jan-10-07 10:25 AM by Stephanie

A man who is speaking the truth does not require this much rehearsal. He's all stagecraft and no statecraft.

New wave of troops set for Iraq
By LOLITA C. BALDOR, Associated Press Writer

<snip>

The president met during the day with lawmakers, practiced his speech and briefed key foreign allies, including calls to the leaders of Britain, Australia and Denmark. Bush was expected to practice his speech a couple of more times before addressing the nation at 9 p.m. EST Wednesday from the White House Library.

***

The public has heard several previous campaigns by Bush to defend his Iraq policies and show that he is changing with changing circumstances. Since the war's start in March 2003, there have been at least seven public relations offensives by Bush on the war, with some of these speech series timed to milestone events and others to dips in polls.

1. Bush has no true core beliefs from which to speak...
so naturally he must practice his speech. He's simply a mouthpiece, an empty suit topped by an even emptier mind.

6. The Chimp has been practicing for 6 weeks or longer. He knows he has a hard sell to do.
He knows the polls has been bad to him.

He knows his Base is struggling to stay firm in their support.

He knows this is a desper8 op to reverse the trend.

The pressure is very high....

He will fail to convince us....his Bully signs will come to the fore...

12. What he must PRACTICE are the humanly-correct facial expressions,
gestures, and vocal inflections.

Gotta tone down the Psycho Glee Factor.

14. It'll sound like all his other official speeches
The serious furrowed brow, the same inflections over and over, the tongue darting out between sentences.

16. I heard there were some problems
Edited on Wed Jan-10-07 11:17 AM by radfringe
bush kept insisting he was going to be giving the speech ON the TV and therefore the practice sessions needed to as realistic as possible

his handlers thought it would be better if he would just sit in a chair
...

it's a joke grenade.... think about it.... :nuke:

17. practice
Chimpy needs to rehearse the long rusty unused skill of reading. Although I am sure there will be a few new words tonight as he will have problems with some of the "poetic language" being added for him...
