Response from congressman Dan Boren
Dear Mr. Madokie:

I want to thank you for contacting my office regarding my opposition to raising health care fees for our nation's military retirees. I appreciate your kind comments about my stance on this issue and I appreciate the fact that you would take the time to write. It is encouraging to hear words of support as my staff and I try to do what is best for the people of Oklahoma . I would also like to thank you for your service to our nation.

As you may know, I am a strong supporter of our nation's military retirees and veterans. I feel that we should adequately provide for those individuals who have given so much to our country by protecting and ensuring the freedoms that we have today. Be assured that I will continue to listen to my fellow Oklahomans and help them whenever possible.

Again, thank you for sharing your kind comments and thoughts on this issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me on this or any other issue in the future.

Sure beat the hell out of the form letters I get from inhofe and dr tom. ole dr tom just sends me the same email every couple weeks even when I haven't sent him anything, really on top of things his staff is.:sarcasm:

3. I don't live in Oklahoma obviously, but I do have cousins
that live in Tulsa and they always liked David Boren. They basically said the same thing about him as you have.

Any chance of Dan taking on one of the Puke Senators or perhaps running for Governor?

4. I hope he will progress to that, I met him previously and he seems
to be honest and very personable. We all know we here in OK need some good politicians. Even thought we have the best Governor we've had in quite a spell. Governor Brad Henry.

5. Thanks for post on Boren,
wondered what kind of person he was. Ashamed I haven't tried to find out more about him. David was a middle of the road, left leaning, Democrat. He sure beat the hell out of those representing us now. Gaylord tried very hard many years ago to have him defeated. It was fun.
