1. Someone needs to tell them the football game is over.
I'm more than a little irritated that they gave so that a bunch of Rs could attend a football game.

Oh, that any boss I've ever had would have cut me slack timewise to attend recreational activities. S

3. I think they're supposed to start back up around noon
There was a press conference this morning about stem cell research, then they started coming into the chamber, but my CSPAN stream got kind of screwy at that point. Some congressman was talking about homeland security.

I guess those who went to the football game needed travel time to get back this morning.

12. That may be standard procedure for the GOPs in California
who whined nonstop about going home every weekend and having to take the redeye back to DC so they could manage regular office hours.

I kid you not.

Monday is to be dedicated to committee meetings, anyway. The California GOPs who can't cope with the job will simply have to miss them if they insist on going back and forth across the country every single damn weekend.

10. She had originally said no
but, last I heard, she was reconsidering the request. I hope she does as well. We need to see the whole picture, not just what they want us to see.

Shine the light Nancy, show us the corners too!

11. The House needs to come back down to Earth.
They work for us, and few of us would be able to just take paid time off to attend a frickin' football game. They need to be AT WORK - there's a lot to do, in case they haven't noticed!

They had plenty of Romper Room time to play during the past six years. The party's over, folks. GET TO WORK!
