The polls after W's State Of The Union speech are going to be the first gauge to see if the public has bought this "Escalation is Surge" tap-dance. If W looks maniacal enough giving his speech (and I have no reason that after all this time he wouldn't, unless they Oxy him to zombieness), I think we'll see the first polls coming out putting him at 29%. That's well within Nixon territory at the time of his resignation, and one of those "lines" that could ramp up impeachment talk in the MSM and in the public at large.

1. I've been waiting for the first Bush poll to drop below 30%.

There seems to be a "sticking point" on the way down at about 35%. That is apparently the percentage of Americans who will "approve" of anything the president or the neocons do, regardless of what it is or its consequences. So many polls show 33, 34, or 35% on the "wacko" side.

Lots of people think we should have sort of a ruler who tells us what to do. Must be fun, either way, if your the wife or husband in such a family. God help the children.
