the 214-216 vote talley on the spending cuts-
on springer,he stated that the repubs agreed that 13 congressman who were up for re-election in tough races would vote "no",while 216 of the repubs voted "yes".have you heard this?If this legislation is such a hot subject for re-election,why did the other repubs pass it?(theoretically)can you help me find some kind of corroboration?

3. Someone posted a list of the Republican defectors earlier today.
I guess they are looking at their early poll numbers to decide whether or not they can afford to screw their constituents.

4. Why Did The Other Repubs Pass It?
Because they're cuts which will impact the lower and middle class the most, and the repubs really don't give a shit about anyone other than the upper class.

Except the 13 running for re-election, who just want to get re-elected. They don't care either, except of course for their own jobs.

6. This was the bill Dick Cheney came in and cast the tie breaking vote for
last December. Nancy Pelosi did a procedural move that
would force a repugs in the house to go on record w/ their votes.

It cut money from seniors, medicine, school lunch programs, and education.
It rips right into the fabric of Middle America and would be toxic to anybody
voting for it. It is an $18 billion hit.

Once again the repugs prove they move lock step and will do anything to keep power/

Chris Smith (R-NJ 4th) voted no. He is in a very safe district.
