Poll question: So where do you think the chimp's approval rating will be after Wed night?
and his speech calling for 20,000 new troops for Iraq?

1. If his daughters are both at his right and left in full military uniform,
through the roof baby! But there is that 5% clown-crowd-swing-voter that will give him a slight bump that the media will rule is a turn-around for the people giving support to Bush and his war.

3. I voted no change, because his 30% approval
rating is coincidently the same % of people in the US who still think Iraq was behind 9/11. They are what I call the "chronically ignorant".

4. Higher -- IF the writers
give him a good speech which emphasizes Petraeuses"s (sp?) role and past successes. It will play to the base as well as the wishful moderates (ala Lieberman) to give it one last chance. Never mind the carnage on every side.

8. These speeches almost always send his ratings down.
He's just publicizing his failures.

Go ahead, Chimpy- let's hear this newest excuse.

10. I don't know... is he throwing $$$ through the boob tube?
If so, he might get a slight bump...(better be high $$ denominations, though)

12. I voted for "no change" - Unfortunately, I think we're at the point where
the remaining 30% or so would still support the Chimp if he raped and murdered a child at a press conference and gave it to Cheney to skin, eat, and make a coat out of its skin. Bush's faith-based ("I have faith in our eventual victory") Iraq plan is now only supported by those who believe in and look forward to a war to end the world as an emotional and religious experience, beyond the value of earthly life itself.

13. The current CNN poll asks the following:
"Would more U.S. troops help stop the violence in Iraq?"

19% say Yes
81% say NO

I don't think those numbers will get better after his speech.

People are finally starting to wake up and see the big picture--finally!
