Drudge: Paper says Israel is preparing to nuke Iran!!!
Edited on Sat Jan-06-07 05:37 PM by bluewave
We need to stop this. No nukes against civilians.

The paper is apparently the Sunday Times of London. Tactical nukes against "nuclear facilities."

13. Drudge is NOT saying it
Edited on Sat Jan-06-07 06:09 PM by Sam Odom
He is just 'reporting' an early leak of a UK news paper, the paper is saying it.

16. The Sunday Times will be out soon, so we shall see.
They (the neo-cons in America/Likudniks in Israel) may want Iran to attack us, or they may be gambling and bluffing to get Iran to the bargaining table.

One way or another, we know they want this out there because Murdoch owns the paper. It wouldn't be there if reichwingers worldwide didn't want it there.

I don't think I agree with this.
Once a war has started the president has a lot of leeway in what he/she does. Congress can cut the money but not much else.

4. Me either
This would 'just' be troop movement orders by the Commander in Chief. Well within his rights, IMHO

10. It's similar to what Sy Hersch has been reporting...
these people are convinced Iran has a nuclear program, just like they were with Iraq's WMD.

They cannot obviously get the US to do this anymore, the Democrats have taken control of the US Congress, so this would be challenged. They think they're going to have to get Israel to do it now. This is possibly the worst thing to happen. These people are as nutty as Ahmadinejad, only these people have nukes.

The Likud party's head, Benjamin Netanyahu, was on Glenn Beck and I watched it, OMG! This guy is fucking insane.

Don't be surprised either because Kadima is having to compete with Likud, because the people of Israel have been made afraid by the rocket attacks and war in Lebanon, they usually flee to the right when violence picks up. That's why Kadima is going to probably move to the right, and it may be why Ehud Olmert considers this an option.

inform them prior to any nuclear operation.

The post subject should be modified to read that Israel is planning an operation on Iran's nuclear facilities.

They pulled a stunt like this against, was it Egypt or Syria about 20 years ago?

The Democrats,to whom the people turn in response to the Bush policy of war escalation and repression at home, are busy high fiving and backslapping each other.Meanwhile,Bush has orchestrated a steamroller of events bearing down at full speed on these quisling twits who think their vacillating statements of weak equivocating protest will change anything.THE WAR IS ABOUT TO ESCALATE HUGELY.Well beyond any "surge".
Democrats in their tentative milquetoast manuvering are going to get run over by a mack truck, driven by Bush ,his neocon advisers and his hard right overseas allies.Again,if these timid democrats won't quite line up,as Bush wants,he will very shortly drive a truck into them to realign them.I think we are about to be seriously outmanuvered and powerfully run over by events.Events orchestrated by this administration.Heads up people.

4. I don't know, I have a feeling Mossad was feeding our guys bad intel...
Edited on Sat Jan-06-07 05:36 PM by originalpckelly
I remember seeing the former head of the Mossad on the Daily Show, and he literally believed Iraq still had WMDs. These far right Likudniks are fucking insane, I worry about the sane left/center Israelis who have to live with those horrible Likud idiots.

He usually misunderstands things, I remember when he reported the NYT story, which said Bush/delusional Republicans who thought WMD was still in Iraq had released nuclear weapons plans to the internet.

He thought it was good for them (nutty Republicans) instead of realizing it just proved how irresponsible/insane they are.

5. This is in principle no different than what Sy Hersch is reporting about Cheney...
they are planning on using smaller tactical nukes, which means they are probably nuclear bunker busters.

These Likudniks really think Iran wants to nuke them, and since they can't get Americans to do it, they may have to do it.

OMG! This could really fucking just fuck up the world so much.

6. Hmmm...news out just in time to help Bush's justification for TROOP ESCALATION.
Sounds like Mossad is planting stories again to either push Iran to make a first move or to provide the US with further justification for our mire in the Middle East.

I'M SO FUCKING SICK OF PRO-ISRAEL NEOCON BULLSHIT.

11. No, I mean "our" as in America.
Sorry, that was a vague sentence. Though I know that not all Israelis feel this way. I have taken a personal interest in Israel, because Israel is our puppet. They do what we want. So knowing about Israel, tells us more about America.

Sorry. :hi:

12. Why do you think our ships are in the Gulf?

They didn't just pop up in the ME. They are either trying to get Iran to attack us out of imminent danger, or they are trying to get Iran back to the bargaining table.

Remember: The Times of London is owned by News Corp. this is a story they want out there, because Murdoch wouldn't have allowed it published if it wasn't good for America/Israel/reichwingers in all Western countries.

21. Key sentence in article.
"However, the nuclear-tipped bunker-busters would be used only if a conventional attack was ruled out and if the United States declined to intervene, senior sources said."

So, this whole article is a lead in to our actions against Iran...as I suspected.

Here goes round two of the George Bush "Let's Fuck Up the World" program.

23. Every country with nukes have contingency plans to use them;
We have plans to nuke Canada if needed....doesn't mean it will happen. Israel would be covered in fall-out if such a thing were to happen.....veiw it as a worst case scenario.:nuke:
