The record high for any day of the month of Jan *was* 68 which occurred on Jan 27, 1950.

The record high for today is 57 (set in 1950).

The average high for today is 33 which is also the average.

Our trees and raspberries have buds, new leaves, and new growth.

Our roses have new growth.

Spring flowers are coming up in our flower beds.

Our grass is mostly green and growing.

1. WTF? What part of NH. Surely, the White Mountains must be 32 or under.

Granted, it is the south, but the overage january highs here are in the 50's. All the plants and trees are confused...all blooming now..many of the live oaks never lost their leaves at all in the last year..dafidills coming up 3 mos early.

11. 75d in Baltimore, I'm very annoyed
My apartment is on the top floor so it gets uncomfortable when the temperatures get to the mid-70s. I am resisting turning on the AC because ... who the hell uses air-conditioning in Maryland in January???!!! I'm pissed!
