2. I know! I heard that on Friday and clapped for 5 straight minutes!
I was also singing in the background..."it's gonna be in the 20's soon!"

7. Yes, but he's on autopilot
going back to the stragedy that worked before.

Yes, surging was a military disaster the last time, but it gave him a bump in the polls.

So he'll try it again...

6. This is why the Republicans lost
The media likes to wrap the story into a nice simplistic package. It was Iraq. It was preacher perverts. It was Congressmen child molestors.

Wrong. It isn't one simple little thing that can go away tomorrow. The Republicans lost because they are on the wrong side of all these issues -- and many more.

87% Allowing the government to negotiate with drug companies to attempt to lower the price of prescription drugs for some senior citizens

85% Raising the minimum wage

84% Cutting interest rates on federal loans to college students

79% Creating an independent panel to oversee ethics in Congress

77% Making significant changes in U.S. policy in Iraq

75% Reducing the amount of influence lobbyists have in congressional decisions

64% Implementing all of the anti-terrorism recommendations made by the 9/11 Commission

Democrats need to hammer them on all fronts. And when we get legislation passed to fix these things, there are many more issues that will rise to the public consciousness. Republicans, at their core, are good for only the wealthiest 2% and the most mentally disturbed 10%. The rest of us need the opposite of what the GOP is.
