High Fives for Democrats
Rewarding Democrats for Representing We the People.

We’re quick to criticize when Democrats do something we don’t like, so it’s time we started rewarding them when they do what we like. Let’s send them $5 or more when they do something we want them to do.

Democratic National Committee

The first High Five is for donations to the Democratic National Committee, in appreciation of the stand Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have taken in opposing an increase in troops for Iraq, BEFORE BUSH EVEN ANNOUNCES HIS PLAN! Congratulations, Democrats, all we internet activists have ever wanted from you was to show some spine in dealing with George Bush and his right-wing administration.

2. I'm glad you write this
I was surprised yesterday how very little enthusiasm I saw on DU for this obvious display of back-bone and unwillingness to go along with the charade that is Iraq by our once passive congress.

Also why are so many letters being sent to crazy king george? Seems to me no other president has received so many letters since the advent of phones and e-mail. Is it me just paying attention or is this a symptom of something else?

3. I'm afraid that a lot of progressives ...
... are stuck in negativity mode. Time to lift ourselves up and start doing positive things.
