Wash Journal is pretty funny today
lots of calls for impeachment and the best the Repukes can come up with is 150K jobs (which is 100K less than what we need to just break even)

pitiful

1. There were a few hysterical women at the beginning...
Edited on Sat Jan-06-07 07:56 AM by ellisonz
that although insane, are funny.

1. Women wearing Burkhas in Chicago. Next Dem caller told her to take a pill and chill out.
2. GPS devices for Mexicans. - checked, the first news article you come up with says its not true. AZ Republic.
3. Fundie quoting a fundie book repeating the old meme...the WMD are in Syria. Yeah right...biological and chemical weapons degrade pretty quickly over time, and nukes are fuckin' hard to make.

Man, they really should cut out the crazies, it'd make the show worthwhile instead of, let's see who comes out of the woodwork.

2. And, of course, Syria is such a cozy buddy of Saddam...
that they'd hold on to his weapons for him until he asks for them back. Not! :eyes:

3. I was randomly switching around my XM radio dial in the last day or so,
--from time to time, not steadily--mostly Air America, BBC and C-Span, and mostly I heard Bush, Bush and more Bush, re Bush musical chairs and Bush's "surge"--AAR news all Bush all the time, same with BBC, and the only Dems on C-Span were the "Blue Dog" group* who want "fiscal responsibility" now that the Bushites have looted us blind, sent all our jobs overseas and inflicted us with a $10 TRILLION deficit by means of unjust war and multiple tax cuts for the rich. (What would FDR do?)

I couldn't find ANYTHING about Pelosi's agenda, LIBERAL proposals, efforts to stop the escalation of the Iraq War (which 70% of the American people want), efforts to impeach Bush, condemnations of Bush 's latest shredding of the Constitution (now he's going to open our mail, in defiance of Congress), or ANYTHING I was interested in.

Did we have elections, or what? Granted, this was random, and NOT a 24/7 monitoring of content. But I was struck by how successfully Bush was dominating even the alternative news. To be fair, I caught parts of Randi Rhodes, and SHE was on target. But everything else I heard was Bushite crap.

------------------

*(The "Blue Dogs" Dems were all hot about the deficit, and actively avoided and repelled any talk about MILITARY spending! What snakes in the grass they are!)

4. Actually, break-even on jobs numbers is between 150k-160k.

5. not to mention a number of times i have caught the number, a month later
they come back with a lower adjusted number. so whenever this is made public i have found later not as high as they state. also long ago bush started playing with the numbers not counting or counting stuff not in the past. one thing we cannot do is trust any number bushco gives us.
