Many on this board write amazing tomes on the subject of the complete incompetence of our president. I can't compete and don't need to. I am struck daily at the disconnect between how the mainstream media characterizes the Prez and the reality of his lack of fitness for the job. We can no longer wait, it is now a time of desperation. Congress must take control from this beast. He is too stupid to be president and he is a danger to our country. To be a patriot is to stand against this man and those in the executive branch who support him. They have become criminals.

2. I don't think they can say the prez is dumb as a box of rock on air

They have to give some air of civility on the air with the president so they try to show chimpy in some shot where he looks stupid, brain dead, the words on banner are cropped to spell out something silly. They get little subtle shot at the chimp in chief.

The threat of Impeachment isn't the only card in Democratic hands. The incoming majority can cut off funding for White House operations. And, it can selectively withhold funding going to NSA and CIA private contractors involved in domestic surveillance and foreign torture, renditions, and interrogations. And, Congress can pass a law declassifying all domestic spying programs that aren't supported by FISA warrants. There are other options open to creative lawmakers willing to flex some muscle.

The White House will deliver the files, if Congress seriously threatens to cut the purse strings. Simply put, the lights could go out at 1600 Penn Ave, if Congress was determined to do so.

"Turning the lights off/shutting off the gas" (taking the car keys away) from the sociopath in chief would be an EXCELLENT strategy to stop his wrong-headed foolishness without putting the country through the impeachment process (although I'm all for that as well, if necessary....but it would be better smarter THIS way, methinks).
