WH Releases Photo of Bush in "Video Conference" - Where Have I Seen This Before? ---pix--->>>

Ruh-roh! We saw this same photo-op, right before Katrina. This does not bode well.

In this photo released by the White House (WH), US President George W. Bush (L-seated) participates in a
secure video teleconference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki from the newly-renovated Situation Room
at the White House 04 January 2007. Bush said that Saddam Hussein's execution should have occurred
"in a more dignified way" and called on Iraq to fully investigate what happened during the hanging.(AFP/WH-HO/File)

12. Since I love to pick nits.... there is something not right about one of those pictures...
As a person who has participated in many video conferences, there is always one constant. One screen shows your CR and the other their CR. Pretty basic, right.

What I'm saying is why aren't "BOTH" screens on in the Katrina pic ? I don't think that is actually a video conference. I think he is watching a weather report.. maybe from the weather channel, who knows? Sure there may have been a video conference before or after the picture was snapped, but that picture sure does not look like a video conference to me.

Sigh... Like I said... its a nit.

13. the guy onscreen is the hurricane expert, forget his name
but he's the guy who projected the magnitude of the disaster. perhaps bush didn't do him the courtesy of appearing on video himself. I think it is a real time vid conf. This photo was released on Sunday. Bush also released a bizarre video that Sunday, about Iraq, with a brief bit about Katrina. The storm hit Monday. Sunday night all of US at DU were up ALL NIGHT praying for the people of NOLA. We saw the storm hit, we held our breaths hoping the Superdome roof would hold. While Bush flew to AZ to eat cake with McCain and do a Medicare photo-op with seniors. The vid conf is real. He got the facts. He did nothing about it.

21. In addition to his ADHD -
he doesn't know enough words to hold a 2-hour conversation. Unless he spent it reading Maliki "My Pet Goat".

On a side note, I wonder how much more in royalties the author of that book wound up with? The 30%ers with their heads up *'s ass would buy it for the "memories". The rest of us buy it to remember the iniquity of this Administration and its response to 9/11.

23. He's the "Deciderman"
If he was truly wanting a solution to a problem, any problem, that table would be filled with all of his advisors. There would be papers all over that table being passed around and discussed. There would be note taking.
No, this looks like a staged event. Doesn't even look like there is a pen anywhere near him.

What a freak.

It turned out to be a two minute photo-op with zero discussion. Madeleine Albright was pissed and she talked about it.

25. Yes, I do remember that meeting
She was pissed about it. She thought that he had gathered all past Sect. of State to discuss options for Iraq and nothing happened. She said it was over so fast. They hadn't discussed anything.

I guess the little decider had already decided before they all showed up.
