(Oh, no. He didn't...did he?) No back rubs, Bush promises Merkel
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,21014478-23109,00.html

US President George W. Bush, who raised eyebrows with an impromptu neck massage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel last year, promised today not to repeat it.

"No back rubs," he told her with a smile at the end of a joint news conference after White House talks.

The German chancellor smiled sheepishly in response.

Ms Merkel had raised her shoulders in surprise last July at a Group of Eight summit in St Petersburg when Mr Bush, in a gesture of friendliness, approached her from behind and put his hands on her shoulders and squeezed.

3. Don't you love the spin.
Ms Merkel had raised her shoulders in surprise last July at a Group of Eight summit in St Petersburg when Mr Bush, in a gesture of friendliness, approached her from behind and put his hands on her shoulders and squeezed.

I saw the video. His gesture was a little too friendly, and I would not describe her reaction as mildly as "raised her shoulders in surprise".

Here's a video if you haven't seen it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Bzv2FF9BItA

God, it's so embarrassing having him represent us! :banghead:

6. Bush acts exactly like an alien who is wearing human skin
but doesn't really have a clue how a human behaves.

7. It was an aggressive move on Bush's part.
Notice the look on his face. This was not done in jest but, apparently, in frustration Another spontaneous act by an unhinged personality.
