CNN is trying to dispute Woodward's claim that Ford was against Iraq war.

Tom DeFrank (N.Y. Daily News) has been on CNN yesterday and today, refuting Woodward's claim that Ford was against the Iraq war. He says, in November Ford told him he was for the war. He also has been saying how much Ford loved Cheney and Rumsfeld. He offers no proof....just his say so. Woodward has a tape recording of Ford not only talking against the war but saying Cheney had changed and become very hawkish. CNN has made no mention of this to DeFrank, who they had on all through today's funeral coverage as their expert on Ford. Sickening!

I don't think he's making up this stuff at all.

De Frank is very much a Ford/GHWB guy, not a GWB guy at all.

I'd love to know if Ford said anything to Woodward that contradicted the Warren Commission. Not that we'll ever hear about it if he did.
