...because "that's not his focus"! Really, why let a little reality intrude upon his Iraq democracy and fields of freedom-lillies fantasy?

See B*sh and Condi spread Democracy!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush has not seen the illicit video of Saddam Hussein's execution because he is focused on the "way forward" in Iraq, the White House said on Wednesday.

<snip>

Bush's focus was on the judicial process that was followed in Iraq and "the way forward," White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said.

"The president has said that he was pleased that the Iraqi people carried forward a judicial process, tried someone who has murdered hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens, and carried forward justice that was unimaginable during his reign. And that's where the president's focus was," he said.

Asked why Bush had not seen the video, Stanzel replied: "Because that's not his focus."

4. you may be overestimating him....
remember Andy Card had to make a DVD about Hurricane Katrina's aftermath, the crisis in NOLA, and bring it to B*sh at Crawford in the days following, to inform him on what had happened, what was going on there. True sotry. He lives in a fantasy-bubble, detached from reality and his inner circle seems to feed his dreamy, megalomaniacal fantasies.

3. He didn't have to watch the "illicit" video.
He had a live feed of the official one.

5. CNN reported that B*sh "was sleeping" at the time of the execution.
Considering the magnitude of the PR problem the US has got over this one, you'd think B*sh would want Americans to know he was staying in touch with current events. When the public knows more than the president does...
