Administration Official: Troop Escalation ‘More Of A Political Decision Than A Military One’
CNN reports “President Bush is expected to announce his new Iraq strategy in an address to the nation early next week.” According to the BBC, “The speech will reveal a plan to send more US troops to Iraq.”

Last night on NBC News, Jim Miklaszewski reported that the new strategy will be announced next Tuesday, and that an administration official “admitted to us today that this surge option is more of a political decision than a military one.” Watch it:

Just weeks ago, CentCom commander Gen. John Abizaid told Congress “I met with every divisional commander, General Casey, the core commander, General Dempsey, we all talked together. And I said, in your professional opinion, if we were to bring in more American Troops now, does it add considerably to our ability to achieve success in Iraq? And they all said no.”

1. Since it is political,
how 'bout us all registering our disapproval via calling and writing elected officials?

2. What a spoiled little child. The elections didn't go Ws way so now
he wants to punish the working class! They admit to it! Otherwise it would be a military decision and not a political one.

3. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Jones
I regret to inform you that your son, PFC John Jones, Jr. died because of a pointless, political decision by a childish, selfish man. God Bless America.

4. Impeachment is also a political decision. More than a legal one.
I certainly hope that the Dems and some not so corrupt Republicans (if any) will make that political decision.
