As a fellow attorney, I am embarassed at Nifong's shameful conduct in this case. The man ignored basic tenets of justice and intentionally tried to destroy three young men for political gain. He should be disbarred.

Official misconduct is a federal felony and Nifong's created the clearest cut case of it in a long time...

If the Democrats are really going to change the political culture, it needs to be local as well

as national. The local party should eject Nifong as a starting point.

5. Not political issue

This is not a political issue by any means. I didn't even know what party he belonged to. This is about absolute miscarriage of justice. He puts on a line-up of ONLY Duke lacrosse players, to ensure that anyone the "victim" pointed out would be a match to someone who was at the party. He hides exculpatory DNA evidence from the defense, including the fact that other mens' semen was found on the "victim." And then he signed a statement saying he was not aware of any exculpatory evidence, which was an absolute lie. He failed to interview the "victim" for months after the charges were filed, which is a clear dereliction of duty especially when she was giving conflicting stories to the investigators. It goes on and on.

I hope these three young men file a civil suit against Nifong.
