What a pleasure it has been listening to him fill in for Al Franken these past few weeks. Without a doubt, my favorite talkshow host.

Anyone else with me?

3. Me too!
Thom's views jive with mine on most issues - but he expresses them far more articulately. I also appreciate his insights on things like ADHD.

18. He's also intelligently religious (religiously intelligent?!)
which helps sorting out the religion/politics issues.

5. He IS great
He does 3 hours a day on KPOJ in Portland OR & 3 hours on the national show. I've heard him also sub for Randi Rhodes or someone else therefore doing a total of 9 hours in one day. Amazing.

11. He is the best thing on Sirius radio left talk channel
but they only have him on for one hour a day! Alex Bennet and Lynn Samuels are worthless! I have contacted Sirius several times to implore them to beef up their left talk channel and give Tom more time.

10. He's got it all
He is absolutley brilliant and well read and an expert on several subjects that he's written books on.
He does great interviews.
He's great with callers.
Air America should try to get him and keep him.

He's the only one I wouldn't have any hesitation at all recommending to someone on the far right.

17. You're right, she does.
But someone on the far right might discredit her for the stupid reasons that she is gay and female.

15. very smart accomplished guy
he cracks me up, tho' ... Thom has lived enough for several lifetimes and he's only in his mid-50s! He seems to have held just about every job: author, psychotherapst, NLP instructor, historian, pilot, country music deejay, reporter, radio talk show host, advertising business owner, started school for abused kids with his wife, ADD expert, relief worker in war zones (and I'm sure I've missed quite a few more accomplishments). All this while raising 3 kids with his wife!

I'm impressed by how well he retains information and his analysis of it.( I usually forget details of what I've read in books or papers, so it always amazes me how much detail he can recollect.) He has the sharpest clearest mind I've ever seen, and thinks very fast on his feet. Only thing that annoys me a bit about Thom is that he often comes across as impatient with his listeners, he's always interrupting them to finish their points or to disagree with them. I guess it's because his mind moves too fast for the rest of us! LOL!

23. He is great
I've learned so much by listening to him. I think he's on instead of Franken in the SF Bay area (at least I'm hoping that's the case!). We have a really good lineup with him, Stephanie, Randi, Mike Malloy, Rachel Maddow, etc. I kind of like Ed Schultz, but he irks me sometimes with his closed-mindedness on certain topics. I love Sam Seder so if they replaced Ed with Sam, I wouldn't be too upset.
