Interesting how he died a free man though.
"Thirteen former dictatorship-era security agents were sentenced Friday to prison terms ranging from five to 18 years for four killings committed in revenge for the bloody 1986 assassination attempt of dictator Gen. Augusto Pinochet.
The sentences announced by judge Haroldo Brito are expected to be appealed.
The heaviest sentence, 18 years, was issued against Alvaro Corbalan, a prominent operative of Pinochet's security services who is already serving a 14-year sentence in another case.
Corbalan and the other 12 were convicted in September 1986 for the killing of journalist Jose Carrasco and three members of the Communist Party, one day after Pinochet's motorcade was ambushed by a pro-Communist guerrilla gang. Pinochet survived unharmed but five of his bodyguards were killed."
